I have benefits in the scheme
The benefits you have in the scheme are payable at Normal Retiring Age.
Any benefits you have built up will be increased between the date you left the scheme and the date you draw your benefits to help them keep up with inflation. Increases are paid in line with Pension Increase (Review) Orders and the Pension Schemes Act depending on which section of the scheme you are a member of.
If you are a Section B member your increases are issued in line with the Pension Increase (Review) Orders. Active members in the Royal Mail Pension Plan (RMPP) are increased with the Retail Prices Index (RPI) and when no longer active are changed to be in line with the Consumer Prices Index (CPI).
If you are a Section C member your increases are issued in line with the Pension Schemes Act. Active members in the Royal Mail Pension Plan (RMPP) are increased with reference to the Retail Prices Index (RPI) and when no longer active are changed to be in line with the Consumer Prices Index (CPI).
